Follow Hever Castle, Anne's Home, below on Facebook. You will be able to see inscriptions in her books. Anne studied theology, especially Lutheranism, but as far as we know, remained a devout Catholic her entire life, Church of England Establishment, not withstanding. At times, she got Henry to listen to other theologians, and was able to save one or two from his wrath. See Foxe's Book of Protestant Martyrs, and Retha Warnkicke's The Rise and Fall of Anne Boleyn. On 19 May we will be commemorating Anne Boleyn's death by turning her personal prayer books to the pages which bear her inscriptions: 'Remember me when you do pray, that hope doth from day to day' A first in Hever's long history, if you can't make it to the Castle on the day, don't fear. We will be unveiling the inscriptions live on Facebook at 8:30am BST for fans across the globe. The video will then be available to watch on demand, make sure you've liked our Facebook page so you don't miss out! We'll also be offering 20% off of all Anne Boleyn merchandise in the Hever Shop, offer valid in store only. Please note: Castle ticket required, book online to save. |
