RIP Anne Boelyn, 2023 Anne the Queen
Once again it is May 19th, the day Anne Boleyn was martyred. Here and elsewhere, I have pubnlished a paper detailing her downfall, trial, and execution. Today, In only want to commemoriate her. She appears in my latest book Capital Punishment in Popular Culture: Toys, Games, and Nursery Rhymes, Toying with Death. I am also finishing a novel about her.

In this year of The Coronation, I can't stop thinking about her. The present royal family is descended from her, ytle,et little seems to be done to honor her memory, outside of the preservation of Hever Castle, her home.
Since I was 9 years old, I have studied her, written about her, created art inspired by her. This fascinating lady deserves to be remembered, as does her illustrious daughter, Elizabeth I.
